Hi! I’m Virginia and I live in sunny Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. After spending more than four years as a legal and political journalist, I started Virginia a la Mode as an outlet for my biggest ancillary passion—fashion.
I’ve been playing dress-up since I was a little girl, and my love for style and fashion has led me on some pretty cool journeys—to tucked-away thrift stores where I’ve stumbled upon a Goyard trunk for $95 to outdoor antique extravaganzas, where I’ve loaded up on vintage kaftans, Lanvin jewelry and fabulous home décor accessories. I am a big vintage/thrift/outlet addict and was lucky enough to act as a Guest Editor and Maxxinista for TJ Maxx in 2013 (sometimes shopping actually pays off!).
I currently work as managing editor of Jacksonville Magazine and all of its sister publications (Home, 904, Bride and Taste).
