Ensemble du Jour: Project Atrium

This past week has been pretty close to dreadful. I got in a car accident on Tuesday morning (on the way to my second day at my new job), found out we have a slab leak in our house (which required plumbers to jackhammer a hole in our living room floor to stop the leak) and I got sick with an awful head cold. All on the same week that I started a new job and took up my new post as Vice President of The Contemporaries, the young professionals arm of MOCA Jax. It was a busy week, so I was very much looking forward to the weekend.

On Friday night, we attended the members’ opening of Project Atrium, which featured the work of Tristan Lowe, a Philadelphia-based artist who dreams up amazing, sci-fi-themed works. This particular installation was comprised of an enormous felt moon, complete with craters and even an orbiting satellite. It was pretty breathtaking and I wanted to wear something to complement the exhibit.

I chose a pair of black, star-printed shorts (bought last year at Penelope T), an Alexander Wang leather harness top (this thing is not easy to put on, let me tell you that), Helmut Lang blazer and Givenchy heels. The gold collar is vintage, the sunglasses are Versace and the clutch is Alexander McQueen.
