I love mixing patterns, prints and textures – but I do think it’s possible to go overboard. My general rule of thumb is to stick to two focal points – more than that, and the look becomes busy. For this look, I chose statement earrings (vintage, natch) and a printed pant – but kept the most of my outfit relatively simple. Animal prints (especially leopard and cheetah) have become sort of a neutral for me – I think they go with almost everything.

I’m wearing J. Crew camo/ floral pants, “peace sign” tank by 3.1 Philip Lim, Elizabeth and James blazer, vintage earrings and Prada sandals. The bag is vintage Bottega Veneta (it figures that I spend a fortune on bags and end up always wearing one I found in a thrift store.)
